To Kill An American

I'd forgotten about this clever piece of work by my old Full Metal Jacket friend, Matthew Modine. It still seems relevant, as our country recovers from the international-stature-damaging Bush/Cheney years and presses on in military and economic conflicts around the world.

Hey Bud...glad I looked and was able to appreciate what you shared. A good reminder of an ideal which is so often lost in the chaotic drama of our times. I embrace any who would hold and live by a spirit of such mutual respect. I long to see it be a more active force in common works for the benefit of us all. Raising our dignity and capability, our common prosperity and individual opportunity are the great gifts which can arise from this unique sense of shared humanity.
